1. Carefully read the job posting to understand the specific requirements and qualifications for the position. Note key skills, experiences, and qualifications needed to carry out the specific role!
2. Identify your transferable skills and experiences from your background that align with the job requirements. Highlight skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, analytical, or good time management skils.
3. Highlight your key achievements and accomplishments that demonstrate your ability to carry out the task expected for the vacant UN role and to meet the requirements of the position. Use specific examples and quantify your achievements whenever possible.
4. Use UN action keywords and phrases throughout your application documents to ensure they align with the requirements of the position. This can help your application pass through applicant tracking systems (ATS) used by some intergovernmental organizations.
5. Highlight international experience, field experience and/or language proficiency.
